About me

I was born in the Western Highlands of Scotland and have lived in the USA since 1970. I grew up all over the country, mainly in the South and Pacific Northwest. I began my love affair with photography early in high school and since then took every opportunity that came across my path to make lasting memories and photojournalistic portraits on silver and CCD.

I joined the U.S. Marines straight out of high school in 1987 and served for 4 years including serving as a infantryman during the Desert Sheild/Storm conflict in 1990-1991. At the end of my enlistment, I received a Honorable Discharge and rejoined the civilian ranks. After many years of working as a Private Security Specialist, I migrated into Information Technology. I now reside in Beaverton, Oregon and go between my jobs of computer technician and photographer.
